With “The God of Small Things”, Arundhati Roy won international acclaim as well as the Booker Prize in 1997. She became India’s best-known author and an uncompromising voice against injustice and in support of human rights. This documentary is a portrait of the writer, essayist and activist and an exploration of her relationship with her mother, the subject of her recent memoir.
